another card idea ....

this time i used the embellisments to add to the heart cardstock, inside i used the corner piece to make a pocket for a love note, with journalling spots and stamps.

Love Card

Use a 12 x 6 inch white cardstock as your cardbase.   Cut pink love heart paper as border for top edge - sand to distress.  Using the heart stamp with black ink onto pink cardstock, then cut out and use the edge distresser.  Fix floral to cardstock and black heart shape on top of flower.  Attach pink chandelier crystal to "love" silhouette word and attach the word to the heart.  Finish with black "always" ribbon at the bottom.

I made this card using the kit contents for my Aunty and Uncle's 30th wedding anniversary.

This layout i created with the INVISIBLES sheet you will get in your kit.  I used the pink worn lipstick ink and on the opposite corner the burnt brick red ink and blended them together over one of the heart mega masks.  Then stamped with black stayz on ink with the heart stamp up the side of the page.  After i placed my photo and embellishments and stamped the title.

I wanted to share this layout i did for my December page of my calender last year ... i used the techniques Heidi was teaching at Create 08 and changed it up using the holly mask and green and red ink to get the Christmas feel going.  I shared this on my blog last week ... but in case you missed it i thought it might be cool to see how versatile these techniques she taught are.  We will keep posting ideas and inspiration to keep you using all that cool product you recieved!  Happy creating ...

FOR CHARITY ....

  On the last night that I was hanging out with Chanel at her kitchen table, we were both feeling the need to burn off some creative energy. We were both just kinda working on different projects, and we were just talking about the whole Create ’08 ...we got talking about wanting to do something to give back. While we were at Scraploot, I was so impressed by Craig and Sue Milne, the owners of Scraploot…immediately she introduced me to their “cause”. She told me all the things they were doing that night to give to the ‘McGrath Foundation”. I guess that not being from  Australia, I didn’t know anything about the McGrath Foundation, or about Jane and Glenn McGrath… I was just really touched by the way people seemed connected to the situation. I took a chance to read up on the foundation and I thought it was so cool, how the goal is to not only raise awareness for breast cancer, but to celebrate the nurses that take care of the women fighting the disease. My sister is a nurse, and about the most peaceful and compassionate person that you will ever meet… she it totally a devoted nurse, and I think back to the times that I have been in hospital, the nurse you get makes or breaks your day! and maybe if the nurses got a little more recognition, and appreciation… maybe there would be more of the kinds of nurses the ‘make’ your day! …

In any event, I absolutely loved being in Australia for the 3 weeks I was blessed enough to be there, and I wanted to do something that would raise money to support this really fabulous organization… even if it’s just in a small way. when I was at Scraploot, I created a page layout that Sue and Craig are selling raffle tickets to, and all the proceeds are going to support this cause. The tickets are only $5, so I encourage you to jump in a buy a few!

Anyway… as I said… it was the last night in Brisbane, and even though I had 7 people to pack up for the huge globe trotting trip home, that would be starting at 6am the next morning, I decided to stamp some of my favorite quotes onto these fUn silver bags. I even had only a few of the bags made up in hot pink… and I donated some of those (my private stash) for this special cause!
